Therapeutic
riding refers to horseback riding lessons for people with special needs.
Horses have proven to provide more than just skills acquired from
learning how to ride; they provide a unique relationship with the student.
Horses are intuitive and have a unique ability to adjust themselves to
the rider. Therefore, a rider
becomes a part of that horse. Riding
helps to increase balance, coordination, concentration, and a variety of other
necessary skills. The medical and
educational professions have recognized the many benefits that riding has done
for their clients. If you are
looking for a specialized creative program, please consider Raise
Your Dreams Farm. We have
had great successes and miracles at the farm.
Raise
Your Dreams Farm offers
therapeutic horseback riding for the cognitively disabled, autistic, and
Asperger’s Syndrome students. It
is suggested that if you are interested in the therapeutic horseback riding
lessons, your child’s physician should be consulted.
Unfortunately at this time we cannot accommodate physically handicapped
students. Please call Raise Your Dreams Farm for a facility that could accommodate
you.
